How did you start to be a fan?

I'm always curious to know how other fans started to be a fan of Linkin Park. So, tell us your story

well i saw a film clip of One Step Closer and enjoyed it. then my bro showed me movies of Linkin Park music over Final Fantasy clips. BAM!

i was bored one day, so bored that i grabbed the dictionary (yes that bored) and looked up words, i saw the word "faint" and i typt it in google and thought i would see pictures of people fainting but instead i saw linkin park faint , i listend to the music (not the video only the music) and i didn't like that screaming guy, i was like "wtf? eww he must ..weird" and i always thought that mike was black XD so i went looking for pictures of the band and i found a group pic and i really liked that skinny guy with the glasses and when i read that he was the singer i was thinking " that guy has that kind of voice?" but then i really started to listen to the lyrics and i thought it was so powerful and so full of truth i just needed to know more about them, so i looked up more of their music and then i saw major big hits like: in the end , one step closer, crawling , papercut and breaking the habit, and i knew those songs , i always liked them but i never really looked them up so after i listend to faint i thought it was awesome but it really was "a place for my head" that made me a fan because i was feeling just like those lyrics at that time it was like they wrote it for me , their just simply amazing , i love those guys

I was on a ride at the California State Fair (2000 or 2001) and they were playing Crawling and I thought, "this is a cool song," then I looked it up and found out it was the same band that did One Step Closer and...fan for life.

All your stories are great.

I knew about them in late 2000, early 2001. But became a die hard fan in the middle of 2001. I saw Crawling and fell for Chester hahaha. I didn't recognize the fact that the blonde guy and his band was the band Linkin Park I knew about. Then when I started high school, a friend borrowed me Hybrid Theory and fell for them, (middle 2001) and finally realized the blond guy was Chester and his band was Linkin Park hehe. I've been a fan since then.
