Hi,
I just wanted to say I've been dreaming about having a tattoo for a life time but due to my strict upbringing there were lots of issues around it. Since I've been to the LP concert in London in January and saw Chester, it's made me think about it all again. I've finally decided on a design that's got a special meaning to myself and have talked about it with people around me. There have been a few raised eyebrows but I'm made up. I'm getting one done!! I'm scared and excited at the same time though, but it feels right now I've taken the decision.
Have no idea what it will be like... I really hope I will get the design across as good as I have it in my head.
Is it really painful? What should I expect?
Eve

I guess it depends where you have it on your body and also your personal pain threshold. I have flames on one arm like Chester and a pentagram on my other forearm, neither of them 'hurt' as such, as Conzi has said, it feels like a scratch, and rather than being in 'pain' whilst it is being done, it just feels uncomfortable. But that said, some people have tattoos and think that they are really really painful so it varies person to person I suppose. As long as you are relaxed and chat with the tattooist you'll be fine and the time will pass fast. Oh and what you said about wanting the design to look as good as it does in your head, make sure that you dont get it done until you are 100% happy with the design, as a tattoo is for life and therefore should be exactly how you want it. My tattooist spent about 90 minutes drawing and redrawing the flames on my arm until I was 100% happy with them. Good luck

Eve I felt the same way, I always wanted a tattoo but I have a needles phobia so I never thought I'd get one. But when I saw a designed that felt like meant for me, I got it and it didn't hurt that much (I got it on my lower back) I guess it all depends on where you're getting it . I thought of Chester the whole time I was getting my tattoo done, I actually wore my fave LP t-shirt that day *lol* everything I could do to get some courage *lol*. It's a great experience if you're really sure of what you want and that it means something to you

Most (healthy) people should turn 80. And plus, by the time most of us are that age, think of the advancements in technology. Who knows? Maybe they'll cure cancer and other diseases. They'll also surely find better ways of reversing signs of aging, too. Considering people are going to be getting older and older.
Back on topic: When's her(original poster) getting it done?
