Right now I'm really into Velvet Revolver so I'd recommend American Man, Fall To Pieces, The Last Fight and Mary Mary (hoho I specially love this one xD)

I listen to DISTURBED (it's some kind of new-metal or alternative rock, I think) during last time, RAMMSTEIN (it's the best for me, I'm an old Ramm-Fan) and Richard's project EMIGRATE (industrial) sometimes. I also like The Prodigy. So I recommend them to you.

The Script. They're kind of rock with a bit of urban. But they're quite good.

Ok, it's not a band, but a great album: THE FUTURIST by Robert Downey Jr. I personally loved it.

Daughtry. I'd call them Rock. Chris has the most wonderful voice, man. It's just very soft and yet 'rough' at the same time. Tracks: 'Home' 'Breakdown' 'Crashed' Check 'em out, they rule! i know it's like a freaking late comment after this one but they are realy cool:p
